Abstract

This study aims to determine farmers’ perception towand lamuru corn variety and to determine the relationship between socio –economic factors’ and farmers’ perceptions. The location of the research was selected purposively due to the the Femnasi village is one of the biggest corn pro- duction of the “TTU” ditrict. Around 200 farmers in this village who grow corn. By using simple random sampling and Slovin formula, the 67 respondents have been selected. Te survey meth- od was use in collecting data, To reach goal one, data was descriptively analyzed whil to reach goal two the Rank Sperman was used. Results are; 1) the perception of farmers toward lamuru corn varieties were satisfied with te average score of 3.8 or the maximum percentage score was 76.64%. 2) factor which have relationship with the farmers perception are age, education, family dependents, family, land area, experience of farming whilw income earnings have no correlation to the farmer erception.
