PARTISIPASI PETANI JAGUNG DALAM PENYUSUNAN RENCANA DEFENITIF KEBUTUHAN KELOMPOK (RDKK) DI DESA KUAKLALO KECAMATAN TAEBENU KABUPATEN KUPANG

Abstract

This research was conducted in Kuaklalo Village, Taebenu Sub District, Kupang District, from November to December in 2017.This study aimed to determine the level of farmer participation in preparing RDKK and the relationship between socio-economic factors and the level of farmer participation in preparing RDKK in Kuaklalo Village, Taebenu Sub District, Kupang District. The research area was determined intentionally (purposive sampling). To achieved objective one, the level of participation of corn farmers in the preparation RDKK data were analized by description statistics: mean and persentage. To achieved the objective two, data were analized by Spearman Rank Correlation. The results at analisisshowed that the participation of corn farmers in the preparation of RDKK in Kuaklalo Village, Taebenu District, Kupang District was generally classified as very high category the average score was 4,215 or84.32% in achieving the maximum score of 5. Socio-economic factors that have a significant relationship with farmer participation in the preparation of RDKK are only farming income factor. While other factors such as age, formal education, non-formal education, number of family dependence, farming experience, pronones of innovation and contact with extension agents, did not have a significant relationship with farmer participation in defining RDKK at the research location.It is recommended that farmers who have low income consisted the primary participants in developing at RDKK, so that the results of this action is optimal.
