Abstract

The research was carried out from July to August 2019. The research aimed to know: (1). Papaya cultivation techniques in CV GS Organic. (2). The level of income. (3). The feasibility of papaya cultivation by CV GS Organic. The data used in this study were primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected from interviews with the owner of CV GS Organik based on the questionnaire. While secondary data was collected from books, the Internet and literature study at related institutions. The data collected was then analyzed to achieve the research objectives, namely to identify papaya cultivation techniques in CV GS Organic using a descriptive method, determine income based on the difference between revenue (TR) and total cost (TC) and the feasibility of organic papaya cultivation in CV GS Organic using the R/C ratio method. The results showed that organic papaya cultivation in CV GS Organic covers the nursery process for 45-60 days, the process of land preparation and planting, plant care and harvesting. When caring for plants, particularly for pest control, no medication but spray water under high pressure was used to remove pests adhering to plants. The income at CV GS Organic amounted to Rp45,883,022 for a year and R/C ratio of 1.90, which meant that the papaya farming offered benefits and was well worth the effort.
