UKURAN LAYAK TANGKAP KERANG DARAH (ANADARA GRANOSA) HASIL TANGKAPAN NELAYAN DI DESA PARITI, KECAMATAN SULAMU, KABUPATEN KUPANG
Abstract
Abstrak – Penelitian tentang morfometrik pada kerang darah dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui ukuran layak tangkap dari kerang darah yang ditangkap oleh nelayan. Kerang darah diambil dari nelayan di Desa Pariti, Kabupaten Kupang dengan jumlah sebanyak 300 individu. Kerang darah akan diukur pada bagian tubuhnya yakni: panjang cangkang, lebar cangkang, tinggi cangkang dan berat kerang darah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa morfometrik kerang darah yang ditangkap oleh nelayan di Desa Pariti yaitu ukuran panjang 20,7-49,3 mm, lebar 16,0-39,8 mm, tinggi 13,8-35,2 mm dan berat 4,33-44,03 gram. Dilihat dari ukuran sebaran panjang, kerang darah yang ditangkap nelayan belum mencapai ukuran layak tangkap karena didominasi oleh ukuran dibawah 40 mm yaitu sebanyak 286 individu dimana ukuran layak tangkap sebaiknya memiliki ukuran cangkang minimal 40. Sementara ukuran lebar dan tinggi selalu mengikuti ukuran panjang dimana semakin bertambah ukuran panjang cangkang maka ukuran lebar dan tinggi juga ikut bertambah. Sedangkan ukuran sebaran berat sudah mencapai kategori ukuran layak tangkap dengan ukuran besar 8,60-44,03 gram sebanyak 215 individu.

Abstract – Research on morphometrics on blood clams was carried out with the aim of knowing the size of the feasibility of catching blood clams caught by fishermen. Blood clams were taken from fishermen in Pariti Village, Kupang Regency with a total of 300 individuals. Blood clams will be measured by their body parts, namely: shell length, shell width, shell height and weight of blood clams. The results showed that the morphometrics of blood clams caught by fishermen in Pariti Village were 20.7-49.3 mm in length, 16.0-39.8 mm in width, 13.8-35.2 mm in height and 4.33 in weight. -44.03 grams. Judging from the size of the length distribution, the blood clams caught by fishermen have not yet reached a size worthy of catching because they are dominated by sizes below 40 mm, namely as many as 286 individuals where the proper size for catching should have a minimum shell size of 40. Meanwhile the size of width and height always follow the size of length which increases the length of the shell then the size of the width and height also increases. Meanwhile, the size of the weight distribution has reached the size category worthy of catching with a large size of 8.60-44.03 grams totaling 215 individuals.
