Abstract

Abstract- Mangrove ecotourism in Aimoli Village is the only mangrove ecotourism area located in Aimoli Village, Northwest Alor Sub-district in Alor Regency. Mangrove ecotourism, which has been developed a lot at this time, has not implemented the concept of education regarding mangrove species so the level of understanding of mangrove ecosystems is still low among visitors and the surrounding community. In the concept of developing the ecotourism area of Aimoli Village, information on mangrove species is important for the community to know in order to increase the knowledge and experience of visitors. The research objective was to determine the types of mangroves in the mangrove ecotourism area of Aimoli Village. This research was conducted in the mangrove ecotourism area of Aimoli Village from June to July 2022. The research method uses a descriptive method with a qualitative and quantitative approach through observation on transect lines and plots that has determined. The Observations were made on four transects and six observation plots with a plot size of 100 m2, while the sampling technique was carried out by drawing a line 110 m long from the sea towards the land. The results of the study found six types of mangroves namely Aegialitis annulata, Aegiceras floridum, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora stylosa, and Sonneratia alba with the zones formed namely Sonneratia zone, Rhizophora zone and Bruguiera zone. The highest number of stands was in the Bruguiera gymnorrhiza mangrove species, while the lowest number of stands was in the Rhizophora stylosa species.
