HASIL TANGKAPAN ALAT TANGKAP BUBU LIPAT YANG DIGUNAKAN NELAYAN DI PANTAI ANTONIFUI, DESA TUAMESE KECAMATAN BIBOKI ANLEU, KABUPATEN TIMOR TENGAH UTARA
Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to identify the types of catches obtained from the use of collapsible traps by fishermen at Antonifui Beach, Tuamese Village, Biboki Anleu District, North Central Timor Regency. Data collection was conducted through interviews, direct observation of the installation and removal of the collapsible traps, and documentation of the catch. The results indicate that the collapsible traps produced two main catches: tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) and milkfish (Albula forsteri), as well as one bycatch of mud crab (Scylla serrata). The catches showed consistency throughout the operational period, with a total catch range of 6–12 kg per operation. Variations in the size of the fish caught indicate the presence of a multi-cohort population that supports fishery stock regeneration. These findings confirm that the use of collapsible traps at Antonifui Beach is still considered effective and potentially environmentally friendly, and can support the sustainable use of fishery resources in accordance with the CCRF principles.
