Abstract
This study aims to determine: (1) the average income of maize farm in Kupang District (2) factors that influence the income of maize farming in Kupang District.The research method used is survey method. The sample locations were determined by simple random sampling in Oemasi and Bone Village in Nekamese Sub-district; Niukbaun and Nekbaun Village in West Amarasi Sub-district. Sampling method was cluster sampling system. To answer the first objective used the income formula, and the multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the second objective.
The results showed that the average income level of respondents in a time corn planting season in Kupang Dsitrict was low at Rp 5.856.999. Factors that significantly affect the income of corn farmers are age, productivity, the number of family dependents, and the cost of production facilities. While from t-test was known that productivity and cost of production had significant effect to the income average level of corn farmer and gave positive contribution. While the age and the number of family dependents were not significant but gave a positive effect on the income average level of corn farmers.
