Abstract

The identification of cardanol compound from isolation of CNSL from Alor based on
FTIR and GC-MS spectra has been done. The isolation of CNSL using silica gel of GF254
by sochlet extraction technic. The separation of cardanol compound Pemisahan senyawa
kardanol from CNSL using thin film cromatografic by comparition of kloroform : ethanol
is 1:1. Based on the analysis result of FTIR, it is a fenol compound that is shown O-H
bound on 3371,57 cm-1, alchil bound on 2924,01 cm-1 and 2854, 65 cm-1, -CH2 bound on
1458,18 cm-1 and -CH3 bound on 1350,17 cm-1, aromatic ring on 1705,07 cm-1 and C=O
bound on 1157,20 cm-1, and 1265,03 cm-1. Based on GC-MS spectra, it is obtained that
fenol compound is cardanol compound with purity level is 94.78% and weigth molecule is
302.
