<p>Early Childhood Education Development and Studies (ECEDS) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Study Program (PGPAUD), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Nusa Cendana, Kupang, Indonesia. The journal is published twice a year, in April and November.<br><br>ECEDS is committed to advancing knowledge in the field of early childhood education and development, with a particular focus on the unique challenges and opportunities faced by young children and educators in Eastern Indonesia, remote areas (3T regions — frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped), and dryland contexts. The journal serves as a scholarly forum for researchers, practitioners, educators, and policymakers to share evidence-based insights that strengthen the quality and equity of early childhood education.</p> <p>The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic literature reviews, and case study reports that have not been previously published elsewhere. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali setahun, pada bulan April dan November.</p> <p>ECEDS berkomitmen untuk mengembangkan pengetahuan di bidang pendidikan dan perkembangan anak usia dini, dengan perhatian khusus pada tantangan dan peluang yang dihadapi anak-anak dan pendidik di Indonesia Timur, daerah 3T (Terdepan, Terluar, dan Tertinggal), serta wilayah lahan kering. Jurnal ini menjadi forum ilmiah bagi peneliti, praktisi, pendidik, dan pemangku kebijakan untuk berbagi temuan berbasis bukti demi memperkuat kualitas dan pemerataan pendidikan anak usia dini.</p> <p>Jurnal ini menerima artikel penelitian orisinal, literature review sistematis, dan laporan studi kasus yang belum pernah diterbitkan di tempat lain. <h1><strong>Abstrak</strong></h1> <p>Persoalan pada kualitas pendidik & tenaga kependidikan serta manajemen pembiayaan telah berdampak buruk terhadap performa kepemimpinan pendidikan dengan terjadinya penutupan beberapa lembaga PAUD non – formal sedangkan yang tersisa tidak memperlihatkan kinerja yang optimal. Namun demikian, situasi berbeda terjadi pada KB Pilia yang bukan hanya mampu mempertahankan pelayanannya namun secara signifikan dapat mengembangkan lembaganya melalui keberhasilan dalam mempertahankan predikat akreditasi, pembangunan gedung sekolah baru dan prestasi para pendidik baik di tingkat daerah maupun nasional. Keberhasilan KB Pilia menunjukkan kepemimpinan pendidikan yang unggul dan membuat lembaga ini menjadi lebih menonjol dari sekolah – sekolah sejenis lainnya dengan permasalahan yang sama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji <em>survival factors</em> kepemimpinan pendidikan kepala KB Pilia yang berhasil dalam mempertahankan dan mengembangkan pelayanan pendidikannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknis pengambilan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dengan kepala KB dan ketiga pendidik, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik triangulasi data diterapkan dalam analisis dan validasi data. Hasil penelitian mendapati empat <em>survival factors</em> yakni motivasi intrinsik, komitmen kerja, kepemimpinan pelayan dan inovasi pendidikan.</p> <p><strong>Kata Kunci:</strong> <em>Kepemimpinan Pendidikan, PAUD non-formal, </em><em>Survival factors</em></p> <h1><strong> </strong></h1> <h1><strong>Abstract</strong></h1> <p>The issues of quality of educators and management of financing have conveyed negative implications to institutions of non – formal ECE, namely definitive termination of several schools while the remaining ones do not display an optimal performance. However, for KB Pilia, regardless of the complications, not only was it able to undergo and maintain its organization, it even exhibited significantly the school’s development such as accreditation, new school building and educators with local and national achievements. The success of KB Pilia has shown superior educational leadership compared to other schools with similar issues. This research is conducted by having an in-depth description regarding the survival factors of educational leadership administered by principal of KB Pilia. Research method engaged is qualitative with the approach of case study. Data is collected by having interviews with the principal and three educators, observation and documentation. Data analysis and validation are done by applying triangulation techniques. <p><em>Social emotional development is an important aspect that influences mother's attachment to early childhood. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of maternal attachment on the social emotional development of children aged 5-6 years. The method in this research is quantitative. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, namely children aged 5-6 years (class B). The respondents for this research were 60 children aged 5-6 years at TK Bethlehem Oesapa Barat, Kupang City. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire with instruments in the form of scales of maternal attachment and social emotional development. The maternal attachment scale developed by </em><em>Armsden dan Greenberg (2009)</em><em> is called the Inventory of Parent. The social emotional development scale developed by </em><em>Squires, Bricker dan Twombly (2002)</em> <em>is called the social emotional development scale. The data analysis technique is simple linear regression. The results of these findings found that maternal attachment had a positive and significant effect on the social emotional development of children aged 5-6 years by 13.1%, which means that the better the maternal attachment, the better the social emotional development of early childhood. It is hoped that mothers can establish a safe and comfortable relationship with their children, understand the needs and characteristics of children which can influence mental health in the social emotional development of early childhood.</em></p>Fredericksen Victoranto AmsekeNaisanu Florawati NaisanuUslina Mimin

<p>Instilling religious values is an improtant thing to do in an educational institution. Kindergarten (TK) plays a very important role because it is the basis for further education, where various values are still easy to instill in children’s personalities in vaious ways, for example children are taught good manners, good character and helping each other. The purpose of this study was to determine the instillation of religious values in early childhood character education at Narwastu Noelbaki Kindergarten. The method used in the study was using a qualitative descriptive research method. While for data collection using observation and interview methods. The data analysis techniques used in this study were data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are that the instillation of religious values in early childhood character education at Narwastu Noelbaki Kindergarten has shown good development of religious attitudes even though there are still religious attitudes that need to be taught continuously by teachers.</p>Honi Miati F.
