Perancangan Kawasan Ekowisata Mangrove di Pantai Torong Besi Kabupaten Manggarai

Abstract

Torong Besi Beach is a beach area with mangrove forests as natural tourism that includes the tourism development in sub-district Wangkung, Reok district of Manggarai regency. According to the regional spatial plan (RTRW), along the north of the coastal, there is +351Ha and +70Ha mangrove forest located in sub-district Wakung. In fact, the mangrove forest can be utilized as ecotourism which can develop the economy of the surrounding community, but the lack of tourism facilities decreased the optimized of its potential. The method used the qualitative analysis method including the stages of setting goals, studying the theory of reference and existing problems, and making problem solving by programming along with the analysis of KDB and KLB in location. The concept design followed the regional spatial plan (RTRW) and consider the criteria and principles of ecotourism included site concepts, zoning, site circulations, landscape, orientations, building form structure, utility and environment. The result of the design are the master plan of the tourist route, site plan design and ecotourism supporting facilities.
