Desain Pusat Pelatihan Multimedia dengan Prinsip Arsitektur Minimalis di Kota Kupang

Abstract

The rapid development of social media has reached various age groups, ranging from school-age children to retirees. Social media not only serves as a means of communication and entertainment but also acts as a source of economic income through multimedia marketing content. In Kupang City, the growth and increasing number of content creators present significant opportunities. However, this potential has not been fully explored due to limited facilities and technology. To support this development and enhance community skills in various multimedia fields, such as photography, videography, cinematography, animation, and graphic design, the establishment of a multimedia training center in Kupang City is essential. This training center aims to strengthen the local creative industry by providing adequate facilities and technology. The design of this multimedia training center adopts the principles of minimalist architecture, characterized by a clean appearance and modern aesthetics, making it relevant to the needs of today's society. The application of minimalist architectural principles in the design of the multimedia training center results in a clean and functional design through elements such as wide glass openings, the use of pastel-colored paint without artistic ornaments on the façade, the emphasis on horizontal and vertical lines on columns and beams, a simple geometric floor plan that prioritizes functionality, and parapet walls that provide a distinct flat appearance. This design is expected to enhance Kupang City's appeal as a creative and modern destination.
