P. maxima in Indonesian waters is known to produce quite large pearls. In the breeding process, temperature and salinity are the main factors in egg hatching. Therefore, the aim of this research is to determine the effect of differences in salinity levels on the hatchability of mutiata oyster (P. maxima) eggs in Kupang Bay. This research was carried out using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method, where there were 3 treatments, namely 28 ppt, 31 ppt, 34 ppt, with 3 replications. The results obtained were that the use of different salinities had no significant effect on egg hatchability. However, based on research results, the highest value was 31 ppt salinity with a value of 66.10%.
Wolfhelmus A Mandosa Yulianus Linggi Priyo Santoso ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/ 2023-10-16 2023-10-16 6 2 7 12 10.35508/aquatik.v6i2.12834 Tepung rumput laut Sargassum sp. sebagai pakan tambahan bagi ikan kerapu cantang (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus-lanceolatus) https://ejurnal.undana.ac.id/index.php/jaqu/article/view/12835
Cantang grouper (E. fuscoguttatus-lanceolatus) is a fish commodity with high economic value. The research was carried out from November 2021 to January 2022 at the Undana fishery pond, Semau. The results showed that different doses of Sargassum sp had a significant difference in influence on growth but did not have a difference in the effect on the survival of cantang grouper. The best dose applied in this study was 10% which was able to produce mitlak growth of 41.11 cm. Mangrove crabs are naturally omnivorous, eating various types of organisms that live in the mangrove ecosystem such as decaying leaves, algae, roots, nuts, toads, snails, shrimps, clams, dead animals and fish. This study used gold snail combined with ikan rucah as feed to determine the percentage of the best combination in feed on the growth and survival of mangrove crabs (S. serrata). A completely randomized design was used and consisted of three treatments and three replicates, namely the provision of gold snail and small fish with a percentage ratio: (a) 25:75, (b) 50:50 and (c) 75:25. The results showed that the highest crab growth (absolute weight) was 46.63 g when fed with gold snail and fish waste in the ratio of 25:75 while the growth in the 50:50 and 25:75 treatments was only 31.23 g and 31.31 g, respectively. The results of this study then concluded that gold snails can trigger the growth of mud crabs if the portion is less than the main food in the form of fishmeal.
Bagoes Novandi Yulianus Linggi Sunadji Sunadji ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/ 2023-10-16 2023-10-16 6 2 24 31 10.35508/aquatik.v6i2.12836 Dampak pemberian daun mangrove avicennia marina (api-api putih) terhadap pertumbuhan teripang pasir (Holothuria scabra) di perairan Hansisi Kabupaten Kupang https://ejurnal.undana.ac.id/index.php/jaqu/article/view/12837
. Sand sea cucumbers are known as a basic ingredient for medicines because of their protein content. This can trigger the exploitation of sand sea cucumbers, which will impact fishermen's income. This research aims to determine the effect of giving mangrove leaves and to determine the correct dose on the growth of sand sea cucumbers (Holothuria Scabra). The design of this study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), where the treatment given was A. marina (Api-api Putih) mangrove leaves fermented with EM4 at different doses, namely 4 treatments with 3 replications. Treatment A: Feeding Avicennia marina (White api-api) mangrove leaves at a dose of 310 grams/container, Treatment B: Feeding A. marina (White api-api) mangrove leaves at a dose of 320 grams/container, Treatment C: Feeding mangrove leaves A. marina (White fire) dose of 330 grams/container, and Treatment D: Feeding mangrove leaves A. marina (White fire) dose of 340 grams/container. The research results showed that the highest growth was in treatment C with a value of 72 grams, followed by treatment B with a value of 31.66 grams, treatment A 16.66 grams, and treatment D with a value of 6.66 grams as the lowest growth. The results of the anova analysis showed P>0.05% and 0.01%, meaning that the treatment had a real effect. The BNT test results showed that there was a difference between treatment C and treatments A, B and D. Thus, treatment C had optimal weight growth. The results of the average survival percentage of sand sea cucumbers obtained showed that treatments A, B, C and D had similar value results, amounting to 100%. The results of the water quality parameters were obtained, the temperature range was 27-280C, salinity 29-32 ppt, and pH between 7.6-8.0.
Daud Londong Nicodemus Dahoklory Sunadji Sunadji ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/ 2023-10-16 2023-10-16 6 2 32 40 10.35508/aquatik.v6i2.12837 Persepsi masyarakat tentang perubahan sosial-ekonomi penyebaran limbah PLTU Bolok terhadap kegiatan budidaya rumput laut di Perairan Kecamatan Kupang Barat https://ejurnal.undana.ac.id/index.php/jaqu/article/view/12838
This research aims to determine socio-economic perceptions before and after the distribution of Bolok PLTU waste towards seaweed cultivation activities, carried out for 1 month in Kuanheum and Oenaek waters, West Kupang District. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with 4 treatments and was carried out in triplets. The four treatments tested were as follows: Treatments A, B, C and D respectively, namely providing commercial feed with the addition of a mixture of coconut dregs and fine bran at 0, 20, 30 and 40%. Research shows that treatment D, namely providing commercial feed with the addition of a mixture of coconut dregs and fine bran as much as 40%, provides the best results for the growth of milkfish (C. chanos). The absolute weight growth reached 19.29 g, the survival rate reached 100%, indicating that the milkfish in treatment D had an optimal survival rate. Environmental conditions can change, so this becomes a challenge for fish to maintain homeostasis in the fish's body. Two factors influence the physiological condition of fish, namely internal and external factors. Information regarding fish physiology is needed as one of the factors that are the centre of attention in proper cultivation to support the productivity of commercial fish cultivation. Environmental changes such as pollution significantly affect the physiological condition of fish, and supplementing fish food can also support the fish's body metabolism. This article review study describes important factors that can influence the physiological response of fish and provides three case studies of commercially farmed fish when exposed to toxic substances or the provision of organic substances in feed. The data used is secondary data using journals from previous research and grouping topics regarding environmental factors and case studies on grouper fish in the Serranidae family.
Elya Putri Pane Diana Arfiati Fisma Josara Apriliyanti ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/ 2023-10-18 2023-10-18 6 2 71 83 10.35508/aquatik.v6i2.12921 Efek cahaya terhadap pertumbuhan dan mortalitas pada ikan kerapu cantang (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus lanceolatus) https://ejurnal.undana.ac.id/index.php/jaqu/article/view/https%3A%2F%2Fcreativecommons.org%2Flicenses%2Fby-nc-sa%2F4.0%2F
This research aims to determine the effect of different lights on cannibalism in cantang grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus lanceolatus) fry and to find out what types of colors can suppress cannibalism.
