Water quality in auaculture ponds greatly affects the growth, survival, and production of tilapia. Several factors that affect water quality are the acidity level (pH). The maximum pH value ranges from 6.5 to 8.5. This study aims to design an automatic water pH control system in tilapia ponds. The water quality control system in fish ponds is often done manually so it is less efficient. The system is designed by combining a pH sensor pump, and solenoid valves using ESP32 microcontroller. When the pH sensor detects a pH value of less than 6.5 or more than 8.5, the system will automatically change the water. The test results in the pond showed that the system was able to respond with the respective rise time and settling time values, namely 1240s and 1380s. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the pH control system that was built can function according to the design.
Christio Revano Mege Stevy Canny Louhenapessy Vera Khoirunisa Septia Eka Marsha Putra Astuti BP Simanullang ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-10-08 2024-10-08 81 88 10.35508/jme.v13i2.18286 PENINGKATAN KESTABILAN SISTEM ENERGI BEBASIS PLTB MELALUI CRITICAL CLEARING TIME YANG TERHUBUNG SMART GRID https://ejurnal.undana.ac.id/index.php/jme/article/view/18802
Wind Power Plants (PLTB) are a vital renewable energy source in the global transition towards clean energy. PLTB holds great potential for reducing reliance on fossil fuels and enhancing the stability of power systems. However, unpredictable wind power fluctuations can challenge system stability. To address this, smart systems like the Smart grid are needed. The Smart grid is an evolution of traditional power systems equipped with dynamic optimization techniques to improve real-time efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. Additionally, transient stability analysis is crucial for maintaining system stability during disturbances. One method used is the Critical Clearing Time (CCT) calculation, which determines the critical disconnection time from the onset of the disturbance until synchronization is lost. This study uses transient analysis simulations on the Sungguminasa – Maros power system, utilizing the Power System Analysis Toolbox (PSAT) under MATLAB. By integrating PLTB with the Smart Grid, it is expected that better coordination between power system components can be achieved, enhancing not only the system’s reliability and stability but also optimizing overall energy efficiency.
Fitriani Fitriani Risal Mantofani Muhdalifah Muhtar ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-10-14 2024-10-14 89 96 10.35508/jme.v13i2.18802 ANALISA PEMODELAN MICROGRID PLTH OFF-GRID DI DANAU SITU RAWABADUNG BERBASIS HOMER https://ejurnal.undana.ac.id/index.php/jme/article/view/18583
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi potensi energi terbarukan di Danau Rawa Badung, Jakarta Timur, sebagai pembangkit listrik off-grid yang mendukung program pembangkit mandiri. Traditional mineral oil, used for insulation and cooling, poses environmental challenges due to its non-biodegradability, low fire point, and lack of eco-friendliness. Alternative insulating fluids, both synthetic and natural esters, offer improved fire safety and environmental compatibility. Recent research has enhanced understanding of ester fluids' electrical, thermal, and chemical properties, yet adoption is hindered by limited research, unestablished testing methods, and experience. This study explores the design and manufacturing challenges of power transformers using ester insulating oil compared to those filled with mineral oil, focusing on weight, dimensions, cost, and the impact of smart monitoring systems on performance, longevity, maintenance, and reliability. The study also examines the influence of renewable energy and micro-grids on the design and manufacturing of ester oil-filled transformers. This comparison aims to guide both customers and manufacturers in evaluating the suitability of ester-filled transformers for specific applications, ultimately contributing to more informed decision-making and advancing the industry's sustainability goals.
Agus Indarto Arunkumar Bohra Slamet Wahyudi Asep Dharmanto ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2024-10-31 2024-10-31 119 127 10.35508/jme.v13i2.18316
