Employing a qualitative descriptive research method, the study was conducted at a university in Yogyakarta, specifically within the Elementary School Teacher Education (S1 PGSD) program. The research subjects included English language lecturers and first-semester students. Data collection techniques involved participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that English language teaching in the PGSD program, viewed through the lens of progressive education philosophy, can be observed from the aspects of educators, learners, teaching methods, and curriculum. Educators play a crucial role in creating learning that is according to student needs, active, democratic, and motivates learning environments. Learners are considered active participants in the learning process. The applied teaching methods include problem-solving and learning by doing. The curriculum is tailored to meet learners' needs, experience-based, and open in nature. The implications of this research underscore the importance for educators to design meaningful, contextually relevant, and contemporary learning experiences for students. It also encourages further exploration by other researchers into the implementation of English language teaching from alternative educational philosophy perspectives.

DINAR MARTIA AZIZAH ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejurnal.undana.ac.id/index.php/jocee/article/view/13853 Thu, 21 Dec 2023 05:32:35 +0000 A Case Study on Students' Learning Discipline of the Fourth-Grade at Kyai Mojo Public Elementary School, Yogyakarta https://ejurnal.undana.ac.id/index.php/jocee/article/view/13891
This research aims to describe the forms of student learning discipline violations, the factors causing these violations, and the efforts made by teachers to regulate the learning discipline of fourth-grade students at Kyai Mojo Public Elementary School in Yogyakarta. The study adopts a qualitative approach with a case study design, conducted at Kyai Mojo Public Elementary School. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis involves data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity is assessed through triangulation of techniques and triangulation of sources. Descriptive results indicate that the learning discipline of fourth-grade students at Kyai Mojo Public Elementary School is still insufficient. Violations include students not wearing school uniforms according to the schedule, lack of attention during lessons, dishonesty in exams, late submission of assignments, and failure to complete homework. Intrinsic factors contributing to these violations include students' lack of interest and laziness, while extrinsic factors involve insufficient motivation given by the teachers during lessons, lack of parental support, and societal changes. Teachers address these issues by setting an example through punctuality, explaining the importance of learning discipline, engaging with parents, and providing guidance sessions for less disciplined students.

Keywords: Case Study, Learning Discipline, Discipline Violations
Eko Nur Rohman ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejurnal.undana.ac.id/index.php/jocee/article/view/13891 Fri, 05 Jan 2024 00:00:00 +0000 PENERAPAN DISCOVERY LEARNING BERBANTUAN MEDIA TIGA DIMENSI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA PADA MATERI BANGUN RUANG DI SDK ANUGERAH HAUKOTO https://ejurnal.undana.ac.id/index.php/jocee/article/view/15428
Abstract: The aim of this research is to describe the application of the Discovery Learning model assisted by three-dimensional media in mathematics learning about spatial material, determine the increase in student activity after implementing the Discovery Learning model assisted by three-dimensional media, and determine the increase in student learning outcomes. Data collection techniques are observation, testing and documentation techniques, with research subjects as many as 8 students. Data analysis techniques are descriptive qualitative and quantitative. This research was carried out at SDK Anugerah Haukoto with the results showing that the first cycle of the number of students was 8 people, 5 people (62.5%) completed it. In cycle II the number of students who completed was 8 people with a percentage of 100%. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning model assisted by three-dimensional media can improve student learning outcomes, especially in learning mathematics regarding geometric material.
Adam Bol Nifu Benu, Pamela N. The research method used is classroom action research. Data collection techniques are observation, test and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative by looking for the percentage of data that has been collected and then clarifying it into a predetermined formula, with the research results showing that the data from observations of teacher activity in cycle I was with a value of 65.27 and cycle II with a value of 95.83%. , while the results of observations of student activities in cycle I with an average value of 66.59% and cycle II with an average value of 82.81%. In the first cycle of learning, there were 22 students who completed or met the specified KKM standards, namely 75, 8 students (36.36%) while 14 students (63.64%) did not complete. Furthermore, in cycle II, from 22 students, 22 students completed it (100%). Based on the research results, it was concluded that the STAD type cooperative learning model could improve student learning outcomes at SD Inpres Naimata, Kupang City.
Christiana Ingi Tolok, Taty R. Data collection techniques are observation techniques and test techniques. Subjects, namely Techniques. Research subjects or respondents are the parties used as samples in a study. The research subject also discusses the characteristics of the subjects used in the research, including an explanation of the population, sample and sampling technique used. Data Analysis is a technique regarding the way the researcher analyzes data, with the research results showing that the data resulting from observing teacher activity in cycle I is of value. 62.5% while in cycle II with a value of 82.69%, while the results of observing student activities in cycle I had an average value of 61.80%, while the results of observing student activities in cycle II had an average value of 81.40%. In the first cycle of learning, there were 25 students from the subject, of which 17 people (68%) then 8 people (32%) did not complete it. Furthermore, in cycle II learning outcomes increased, namely from 25 students, all of them completed (100%). Based on the results of the research above, it is known that learning Indonesian uses audio-visual media. This is proven by the increase in learning outcomes in cycle II, namely 100%, thus the use of audio visual media in theme 2 learning always saves energy in subtheme 1 learning 2 to improve the learning outcomes of class IV students at SDI Naimata, Kupang City.
Theresia A.
