The Baolangu Village Community Forest Utilization Business Permit was granted to the Belek Lerek Forest Farmer Group Association consisting of 5 forest farmer groups covering an area of + 150 Ha in the Protected Forest area in Baolangu Village. Of the 5 forest farmer groups formed, 1 forest farmer group remains active but in general the community continues to manage their Community Forest land. The purpose of this study was to determine the positive perceptions of the community about Community Forests that influence community participation in Community Forest management. The technique of taking respondents in this study used the census method, namely taking one population group as a whole sample and using a structured questionnaire as a data collection tool with a total of 77 respondents. The measurement scale used is the Likert scale model.&nbsp;</em><em>The results showed that community participation of the Belek Lerek Forest Farmer Group Association in the implementation stage of the Community Forest was high (58.77%), and the utilization stage was high (61.29%), because the community managed their respective Community Forest areas by planting plantation crops, food and horticulture, the results of which were not only for consumption but also for sale. One such species is the Yellow-crested Cockatoo. This bird is protected in Indonesia by Government Regulation and is categorized as critically endangered based on IUCN data. Kuanfatu Village is one of the areas that provides habitat for Cockatoos. This area is not a conservation area, but there are efforts to protect cockatoos through a traditional ceremony called Saeba Banu. This study aims to determine the level of vegetation regeneration in the cockatoo habitat. Data collection used a combination of methods, namely the strip and quadrant transect methods, and data analysis included vegetation analysis, namely the calculation of the Important Value Index (INP). An exploratory survey was conducted using a systematic sampling technique. Sampling plots were established at 100-meter intervals, consisting of nested sub-plots categorized by growth stages. The data were analyzed using the Importance Value Index, the Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index (H'), and the Morisita Dispersion Index. The results identified eight species of forage plants. Three species were confirmed as actual forage plants due to direct consumption observations : <em>Senna siamea, Gliricidia sepium</em>, and <em>Gmelina arborea</em>. Meanwhile, five other species, including <em>Alstonia scholaris, Tectona grandis, Ficus benjamina, Bauhinia purpurea,</em> and <em>Hibiscus rosa-sinensis</em>, were categorized as potential forage plants. According to the Morisita Index, all identified forage plants exhibited a clumped distribution pattern. This decline in environmental quality is caused by various factors such as an increase in land conversion to built-up land. The effect of decreasing environmental quality has an impact on various aspects of the urban spatial ecosystem. The high increase in land conversion causes a reduction in the quantity of green open space and gives rise to environmental problems such as increasing urban space temperatures and microclimate instability and so on. The local government, through policies, uses various alternatives to maintain the environmental stability of Kupang City, one of which is by providing city greening, including planting green lane vegetation using a stem planting system since 2018. This research aims to determine the success rate of the Kupang City road planting program. The data collected consisted of primary and secondary data using the spatial descriptive analysis method which was carried out from July to November 2022. Obstacles faced in managing the roadside planting program include the unmet need for green open space according to Kupang city area standards. In addition, if seen from The distribution of vegetation along the road, the percentage of plant growth of 64.96% is in the poor category, while the percentage of plant health is 50.54% in the low category. The results of the research show that the success of the Kupang City roadway planting program is in the medium category by achieving a total score of 70. The success rate of Kupang City roadway planting is Medium (the results of program implementation are accepted with the note that improvements need to be made until they reach a total value of &gt; 80). These problems need to be overcome, one of which is rehabilitating land with the Community Forest program. In the community forest program, to support the success of its development, there needs to be community involvement based on the purpose of obtaining benefits. If the community understands the meaning and purpose of their involvement, it will greatly affect their perception. The purpose of this study was to determine community perceptions and actions towards the implementation of the Community Forest program in Kesetnana Village, South Mollo District, South Central Timor Regency. The sample determination in this study used a census technique with a total sample size of 56 households. This research was conducted with a purposive method. The data obtained is in the form of honey consumer segmentation analysis using descriptive analysis, then the data is analyzed using SWOT. The tool used to compile strategic factors using the SWOT matrix. The results of the marketing channel for wild bee honey in Loli Village and Fatumnasi Village have three marketing channels, namely the first channel with 0 margin and 100% farmer share. The second channel has a margin of IDR 35,000 and a farmer share of 80%. The third channel has a margin of IDR 120,000 and a farmer share of 53.84%. Strengths (S), namely honey is a superior HHBK, harvested traditionally, original honey quality, honey price is relatively cheap, strategic marketing location, has a community network group, honey has many health benefits. Weaknesses (W) are traditional processing techniques, have not carried out maximum promotion, have low human resources, packaging is not sterile, product packaging is less attractive, and harvest is not sustainable. Opportunity (O) namely healthy lifestyle changes, consumers who become agents, demand for honey is quite high, media promotion is young. Threats (T) are low level of trust, competitors in the same field, honey prices vary, honey quality is influenced by nature, some nest trees are located in nature reserve areas, forest&nbsp; and land fires, and deforestation. The use of plants as medicine has also been used for a long time by the people of Beaneno Village, which is one of the villages administratively located in Sasitamean District, Malaka Regency, NTT Province. The Beaneno Village community uses land using the Mamar Agroforestry system which has been managed for generations. This research aims to inventory plant types, the properties of these plants and how to process plants as medicine for reproductive health by the people of Beaneno Village. Data collection techniques use the snowball interview method, observation, vegetation analysis with the exploration method to obtain plant locations and the quadrant method to analyze vegetation and literature studies. Data analysis uses quantitative analysis to determine the importance of species, diversity value, evenness value and species richness value. In the results of the observations, it was found that there were 8 types of plants with medicinal properties, with the composition of the vegetation showing that the types of plants with the highest herbaceous habit were 3 types, 2 types of trees, 2 types of shrubs and 1 type of liana. Types of medicinal plants that have important value. The largest type is Desmodium triflorum (76.04) for seedling level. Conversely, the activities of soil organisms also affect plant growth and consequently determine the productivity of their habitat. This study aimed to identify soil macrofauna found in agricultural land surrounding the Mutis Timau Nature Reserve forest area. The study was conducted on agricultural land in Fatumnasi Village, Fatumnasi District, South Central Timor Regency. An exploratory approach was employed by directly collecting and observing soil macrofauna in the field. Soil macrofauna samples were collected using the pitfall trap method. The collected specimens were identified using a soil animal ecology identification guide. The results showed that the soil macrofauna consisted of nine orders belonging to the phylum Arthropoda. The arthropods were classified into three classes: Insecta, Malacostraca, and Arachnida. Pemo village farmers who in land management still apply the slash and burn system and shifting cultivation cause a lot of idle land in Pemo village and can have a negative impact on the environment. Community-owned land has the potential to be developed so that the community empowerment provided can help in utilizing the land properly, so this study aims to find out how the relationship between Pemo village farmers and the Kelimutu National Park management in land management. Respondents in this study were farmer groups in Pemo village using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, documentation and analyzed descriptively qualitative. The results showed that the relationship between the Kelimutu National Park and farmers in land management in Pemo village is a good and positive relationship in the form of community empowerment and cooperation with one of the groups, namely the Nira Ika group. One proof of the success of community forest management in NTT occurred in Kobekamusa Village, TTS Regency. The Community Forest Program in Kobekamusa Village is managed by the Hetven Forest Farmers Group, which takes care of 25 ha of local community land that is part of the Kobekamusa Community Forest. The existence of KTH Hetven in managing the Kobekamusa Community Forest has not been able to minimize events outside the group's design. From an institutional perspective, KTH Hetven is still a Beginner Class KTH, it does not yet have complete supporting data, such as the Decree on the Establishment of KTH which was only issued in 2021. To determine the effectiveness of KTH Hetven's institutional performance in this study using SWOT analysis which is limited to the assessment of the identification of internal aspects and external aspects that affect the performance of KTH Hetven. From the results of the study, the internal aspects for strengths consisted of, (1) A clear structure of KTH, (2) Members' responsibility to their positions, (3) The group is run with kinship, (4) The existence of self-help efforts, and (5) Planting types of MPTS. Institutional performance data was obtained by interviews and questionnaire assistance, while vegetation composition data was obtained by vegetation analysis using the transect method.&nbsp;Processing of institutional performance data using Likert scale.&nbsp;</em><em>The existence of IUPHKm has had a good impact on vegetation composition with an increase in tree composition in the 2015-2021 period, but there is still a need for improvements in the institutional sector so that HKm has a significant impact on communities and forests. &nbsp;The results showed that the institution of the loyal Association has not run well, as evidenced by the indicators of rights, responsibility, revenue and relationships which are considered to have received low scores. Based on Likert scale analysis, the rights indicator from the loyal association obtained a score of 2.04 (less good, the responsibility indicator obtained a score of 2.04 (less good), the result indicator obtained a score of 2.13 (less good), the result indicator obtained a score of 2.12 (less good). The absence of distribution of work areas for each member, lack of awareness of members, lack of deliberation, age dominated by old productive age and low education as well as inadequate infrastructure and infrastructure are factors that cause the slow institutional growth of the Setia association. This study was conducted to determine the level of bird species diversity in the Wolo Tadho Nature Reserve based on height and land cover. The methods used for bird species diversity and vegetation analysis in this study are the point count method and the path or transect method which is determined by purposive sampling based on the type of land cover and altitude. The data obtained were calculated using the Shannon-Wiener Type Diversity Index (H'), Evenness Index (E), and Important Value Index. The results of the study show that there are 22 species of birds found in the Wolo Tadho Nature Reserve from 20 families with a total of 335 individuals. The results of the calculation of bird species diversity in CA Wolo Tadho are classified as moderate with a value of H'=2.666. Based on land cover, the diversity of bird species is highest in the savanna habitat type with a value of 2.443 and the lowest in the vacant land habitat type with a value of 1.742. Based on altitude, the value of bird species diversity was highest at height I with a value of 2.744 and the lowest at height V with a value of 2.021. The results of vegetation analysis showed that the highest INP at the tree level was Acid <em>(Tamarindus indica)</em> at 49.12%. while the lowest is Kedondong Hutan <em>(Spondias pinnata) </em>with a value of 2.36%. At the pole level, the highest INP is acid <em>(Tamarindus indica) </em>with an INP of 48.07% and the lowest INP is melinjo <em>(Gnetum gnemon L) </em>with a percentage of 0.76%. At the stake level, the highest INP is lamtoro <em>(Leucaena leucocephala)</em> with an INP of 37.45% and the lowest INP is forest kedondong <em>(Spondias pinnata) </em>with an INP value of 0.86%. Data were collected through interviews, direct observation, surveys, document analysis, and case studies. Purposive sampling was used to obtain relevant and accurate information and data from the field. The results of this study indicate that the local wisdom of the Wolojita community influences environmental conservation, particularly the Flores Hawk-eagle, so that it remains sustainable for future generations. The Joka Ju and Pati Ka Embu Mamo customs still apply today. During the Joka Ju ritual, residents are prohibited from engaging in activities outside the home. This is due to taboos that must be observed during this ritual. Violations of these taboos result in a customary fine (Poi) imposed by the traditional elders (Mosalaki).&nbsp; Another ritual is the pati ka embu mamo, which is performed to feed ancestors, summoning the Flores Eagle, an incarnation of the ancestor, to be fed. Kuntze) is a plant species widely utilized due to its high economic value and is well-known for export purposes. This study aims to determine the effect of planting media combinations on the germination of merbau seeds. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with a single factor, consisting of five treatments: M0 (control), M1 (850 grams of soil + 150 grams of rice husk biochar), M2 (850 grams of soil + 150 grams of chicken manure), M3 (850 grams of soil + 50 grams of rice husk biochar + 100 grams of chicken manure), and M4 (850 grams of soil + 100 grams of rice husk biochar + 50 grams of chicken manure), each with three replications. Further testing was conducted using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the combination of planting media significantly affected the parameters of Germination Power, Germination Speed Index, and Germination Value. Kuntze) is a tree species that naturally grows in various soil types, including moist, dry, and rocky soils, and is endemic to Indonesia. One of the main challenges in the generative propagation of Merbau is slow germination caused by its hard seed coat, due to the seed’s dormancy traits. Therefore, a pre-treatment is needed to break the dormancy, such as applying plant growth regulators (PGRs) through seed soaking. This study aimed to determine the effect of cow urine concentration and soaking duration on breaking seed dormancy in Merbau. A factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used with two factors: concentration (control/distilled water, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% cow urine) and soaking duration (24, 36, and 48 hours). The results showed that the single treatment of 75% concentration (A3) and 48-hour soaking duration (D3) were the most effective in breaking seed dormancy. However, D3 was not significantly different from D2 (36 hours) in terms of germination rate and germination value. This forest destruction is caused by forest encroachment carried out by irresponsible parties. The impact of forest destruction has implications for various environmental components and ecosystems and habitats. Local wisdom is used by the community as a guideline for attitudes and behaviors in interacting with nature and its environment. This study aims to find out whether the Local Wisdom of Wehali Village contributes to the reduction of the rate of forest destruction that occurs in the forest area of the Kateri Wildlife Sanctuary which was carried out in April-May 2024 at the Kateri Wildlife Sanctuary (Wehali Village, Central Malaka District, Malaka Regency). The method used is a survey with interviews with respondents using questionnaires and direct observations, then the data is processed using a qualitative descriptive method. The results of the study show that forest encroachment that occurs in the Kateri Wildlife Sanctuary forest area of Wehali Village are the encroachment of areas for settlements, plantations, illegal logging, and fires. The encroachment activities are carried out by immigrant communities and local communities whose live around the area due to the low social and economic eonditions, urgent demands for household economic concerns, social jealousy of local residents towards immigrant populations so that irresponsible parties use them to destroy forests. &nbsp;The local wisdom of Wehali Village is in the form of knowledge, including in the form of <em>Titen</em> science, values, ethics and morals, norms consisting of recommendations, prohibitions, and sanctions, as well as expressions. This local wisdom are used and applied as a guideline for attitudes and behaviors in preserving forests, in various physical and ritual activities, routine and incidental.
