Abstract

The title of this research is “The Effect of Conflict and Work Stress on Employee Performance at Hypermart Lippo Plaza Kupang. The main problems in this study are (1) Does work conflict have a significant effect on employee performance at Hypermart Lippo Plaza Kupang, (2) Does work stress have a significant effect on employee performance at Hypermart Lippo Plaza Kupang, and (3) Does conflict and work stress significantly affect employee performance at Hypermart Lippo Plaza Kupang. The population in this study is the number of employees who work at Hypermart Lippo Plaza Kupang. The samples in this study were 60 employees of Hypermart Lippo Plaza Kupang. The analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis showed conflict, work stress, and employee performance included in the very strong category. Based on statistical data analysis, the results of the t-test indicate that conflict and work stress partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The contribution of the model or determination of 40.7% of variations in employee performance variables can be explained by the two independent variables, while the remaining 58.3% is explained by other variables outside this model. It is recommended for the company to be maintained and improved by maintaining the relationship between employees and management so that the performance at Hypermart Lippo Plaza Kupang will continue to increase
