Abstract

This study aims to determine how to control the inventory of coffee raw materials. The research variable used in this study is the control of coffee raw material inventory at UPH Fa Masa. The types and sources of data in this study are, types of qualitative data and quantitative data, data sources, primary data and secondary data. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. The analysis method used in this research is the EOQ method. The EOQ method is used to control the inventory of economical coffee raw materials so as to reduce the cost of storing raw materials. Based on the results of this study, the control of raw material inventory at UPH Fa Masa is not yet appropriate, where the company only purchases and orders raw materials based only on their estimates and experience over the years and has not been planned. Based on the results of the inventory cost analysis for 2023, it shows that the total inventory cost incurred by UPH Fa Masa is greater, which is Rp. 2,120,000, while using the EOQ method is Rp. 1,165,050 so that the application of the EOQ method saves Rp. 834,950. From the results of the analysis, it can be said that by applying EOQ, the company can save on ordering and inventory costs.
