ANALISIS PENGENDALIAN PERSEDIAAN BAHAN BAKU PADA PERUSAHAAN MEBEL ADI MAKMUR DI MAULAFA KOTA KUPANG
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the inventory control of teak board raw materials at Adi Makmur Maulafa Furniture in Kupang City to ensure optimal raw material availability while minimizing inventory costs. The approach used in this study involves the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Total Inventory Cost (TIC), and Reorder Point (ROP) analysis methods. The results of the study indicate that the application of the EOQ method can produce the most economical raw material orders, thereby helping the company optimize inventory levels and avoid wasteful costs. In 2020, the most economical order was 316 boards, in 2021 374 boards, in 2022 424 boards, in 2023 447 boards, and in 2024 454 boards. The results also show that the application of the TIC method can result in inventory cost savings compared to the ordering policy previously implemented by the company. In 2020–2024, there was a decrease in inventory costs with a savings difference of between Rp. 2,004,000.00 to Rp. 3,900,000.00 per year. Furthermore, the Reorder Point (ROP) analysis indicates the optimal reorder point for the company to avoid raw material stockouts. By implementing the EOQ method, Adi Makmur Furniture can optimize the number of teak board orders, reduce cost waste, and improve operational efficiency. Overall, this study proves that the EOQ method is an effective strategy in managing raw material inventory to increase company profitability.
