The Effect Of Adding Soursop Juice (Annona Muricata L.) In Egg Yolk Tris Diluent On The Quality Of Landrace And Duroc Crossed Boar Spermatozoa
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of soursop juice (Annona muricata L) in egg yolk Tris diluent on the quality of spermatozoa of landrace x duroc crossbred boar. Fresh semen obtained from 1.5 year old male boar. This study used an experimental method and a completely randomised design (CRD) which included 6 treatments and 5 replications, namely: T0 = Tris egg yolk (T-EY), T1 = Tris egg yolk (T-EY) + Soursop fruit juice (SFJ) 2%, T2 = Tris egg yolk (T-EY) + Soursop fruit juice (SFJ) 4%, T3= Tris egg yolk (T-EY)+ Soursop fruit juice (SFJ) 6%, T4= Tris egg yolk (T-EY)+ Soursop fruit juice (SFJ) 8%,T5= Tris egg yolk (T-EY)+ Soursop fruit juice (SFJ) 10%. All treatments were stored in a cool box with 15-20℃. Evaluation was done every 12 hours of storage on motility, viability, abnormality, and survival of spermatozoa up to 40% motility. Data were analysed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with the Duncan test. The results showed that treatment T4 with the addition of 8% soursop juice was able to maintain the quality of spermatozoa during 48 hours of storage with a motility percentage of 49.00 ± 5.48%, viability of 56.00 ± 4.74%, abnormality of 4.80 ± 0.45% and survival of 56.60 ± 1.52 hours. It can be concluded that the provision of 8% soursop juice level (T4) in egg yolk Tris diluent is able to maintain the quality of spermatozoa of landrace x duroc crossbred pigs for 48 hours.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sari sirsak terhadap kualitas spermatozoa babi persilangan Landrace dan Duroc ketika ditambahkan ke pengencer kuning telur tris. P0 (kuning telur tris tanpa penambahan) dan P1 hingga P5 (sari sirsak yang ditambahkan 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, dan 10%) merupakan enam perlakuan dan lima ulangan dalam pendekatan eksperimental penelitian ini, yang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Setiap dua belas jam, penilaian motilitas, viabilitas, abnormalitas, dan kelangsungan hidup sperma dilakukan hingga motilitas mencapai 40%. Semua perlakuan disimpan dalam kotak dingin bersuhu antara 15 dan 20°C. Analisis data menggunakan ANOVA, dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Dengan motilitas 49,00±5,48%, viabilitas 56,00±4,74%, abnormalitas 5,80±0,45%, dan kelangsungan hidup 54,00±4,00 jam selama 48 jam penyimpanan, perlakuan P4 (penambahan sari sirsak 8%) menghasilkan hasil terbaik, menurut data. Kualitas dan viabilitas spermatozoa babi hutan hasil persilangan dapat ditingkatkan dengan menambahkan sari sirsak 8% ke dalam pengencer kuning telur Tris.
