Abstract

The research was carried out with the aim of determining the effect of providing levels of S. cerevisiae yeast in
pelleted feed on consumption and digestibility, BETN and energy of Bali cattle. There were 12 Bali cattle aged 2 to
2.5 years used in this study, with body weights ranging from 156.65 to 218.85 kg, and a coefficient of variation
(CV) of 12%. This study used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments
in this study were R0: Lamtoro + Pellet Feed Supplement 1% BW, R1: Lamtoro + Pellet Feed Supplement 1% BW
+ Supplement 1g Yeast S. cerevisiae, R2: Lamtoro + Supplement Pellet Feed 1% BW + Supplement 2g Yeast S .
cerevisiae, R3: Lamtoro + Pellet Feed Supplement 1% BB + Supplement 3g S. cerevisiae yeast. Data were analyzed
using analysis of variance. The results showed that BETN consumption (g/h/d) for treatment, R0 = 1.643, R1 =
1.676, R2 = 1.771, R3 = 1.750. Energy consumption (kcal/h/d) R0 = 17,329, R1 = 17,883, R2 = 18,928, R3 =
18,964. BETN digestibility (%) R0 = 64.646, R1 = 65.613, R2 = 70.340, R3 = 72.120 and energy digestibility (%)
R0 = 72.243, R1 = 72.676, R2 = 77.263, R3 = 78.413. The results of statistical analysis showed that the treatment
had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the research variables. The use of S. cerevisiae yeast up to 3g in pelleted feed
with lamtoro basal feed did not provide an increase in consumption and digestibility of non-nitrogen extract (BETN)
and energy in fattening Bali cattle

Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui adanya efek pemberian kadar ragi S. cerevisiae dalam pakan
pellet terhadap konsumsi dan, kecernaan BETN dan energi sapi Bali. Sapi bali umur 2 sampai 2,5 tahun yang
digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 12 ekor, dengan bobot badan berkisar antara 156,65 hingga 218,85 kg, dan
koefisien variasi (CV) 12%. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan.
Adapun perlakuan dalam penelitian ini adalah R0: Lamtoro + Suplemen Pakan Pellet 1% BB, R1 : Lamtoro +
Suplemen Pakan Pellet 1% BB + Imbuhan 1g Khamir S. cerevisiae, R2: Lamtoro + Suplemen Pakan Pellet 1% BB +
Imbuhan 2g Khamir S. cerevisiae, R3: Lamtoro + Suplemen Pakan Pellet 1% BB + Imbuhan 3g Khamir S.
cerevisiae. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis varians. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi BETN
(g/e/h) untuk perlakuan, R0 = 1,643, R1 = 1,676, R2 = 1,771, R3 = 1,750. Konsumsi energi (kkal/e/h) R0 = 17,329, R1
= 17,883, R2 = 18,928, R3 = 18,964. kecernaan BETN (%) R0 = 64,646, R1 = 65,613, R2 = 70,340, R3 = 72,120 dan
kecernaan energi (%) R0 = 72,243, R1 = 72.676, R2 = 77,263, R3 = 78,413. Hasil analisis statistic menunjukkan
perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0.05) terhadap variabel penelitian. Penggunaan khamir S. cerevisiae sampai
3g dalam pakan pellet dengan pakan basal lamtoro tidak memberikan peningkatan terhadap konsumsi dan kecernaan
ekstrak nonnitrogen (BETN) dan energi dalam penggemukan sapi Bali.
