The Use of Tofu Waste to Substitute for Concentrate on Linear Body Size and Efeficiency of Protein using in Grower Pig

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using tofu dregs as a substitute for concentrate on linear body size and the efficiency of using protein in the grower phase of pigs. In this study, 12 landrace pigs were usedwith an average body weight of 10-45 kg or 29,54 kg (KV 34,35%). A randomized block design was used in this study using four treatments and three replications, consisting   of R⁰ : rationwithout tofu dregs, R¹: tofu dregs replace 20% concentrate, R²: tofu dregs replace 30% concentrate, R³: tofu pulp dregs replaced 40% concentrate. Body length, chest circumference, height, and efficiency of protein utilization were factors tested. The treatment had no noticeable effect (P>0.05) on any of the variables tested, according to the results of the variance analysis. It was concluded that pigs in the grower phase could utilize tofu dregs as a substitute for concentrate up to 40% in terms of linear body size and protein utilization efficiency which was no different from pigs receiving rations without tofu dregs.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengunaan ampas tahu sebagai pengganti konsentrat terhadap ukuran linear tubuh dan efisiensi penggunaan protein ternak babi fase grower. Sebanyak 12 ekor ternak babi Landrace dengan berat badan rata-rata 10-45 kg atau 29,54 kg (KV 34,35%) digunakan sebagai ternak penelitian. Rancangan acak kelompok digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan, yang terdiri dari R⁰ : ransum tanpa ampas tahu, R¹ : ampas tahu menggantikan 20% konsentrat, R²: ampas tahu menggantikan 20% konsentrat, R³: ampas tahu menggantikan 40% konsentrat. Panjang badan, lingkar dada, tinggi badan, dan efisiensi pemanfaatan protein merupakan faktor yang diuji. Perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap salah satu variabel yang diuji, menurut hasil analisis varians. Disimpulkan bahwa ternak babi fase grower dapat memanfaatkan ampas tahu sebagai pengganti konsentrat sampai 40% ditinjau dari ukuran tubuh linier dan efisiensi pemanfaatan protein yang tidak berbeda dengan babi yang mendapat ransum tanpa ampas tahu.
