Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of fermented herbal ingredients with local bioactivators on the consumption and digestibility of dry matter and organic matter of landrace pigs and also to determine the best level of fermented herbal ingredients. The livestock used were 12 pigs of the grower phase landrace breed aged 3-4 months with an initial body weight ranging from 34-43 kg with an average of 37 kg (CU = 4.12%). This study were Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consists of 4 treatments and 3 repeats so that there are 12 experimental units. The treatments given is H0: liquid feed without herbs, H1: liquid feed + fermented herbs 10%, H2: liquid feed + fermented herbs 15% and H3: liquid feed + fermented herbs 20%. The variables studied are the consumption and digestibility of dry matter and organic matter. The results showed that the treatment had a highly significant effect (P<0.01) on the consumption and digestibility of dry matter and organic matter. It was concluded that the use of fermented herbal ingredients in basal rations at the level of 15% and 20% increased the consumption and digestibility of dry matter and organic matter of pigs, the administration of 20% fermented herbs provided the highest digestibility of dry matter and organized matter of grower phase pigs.

 

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan bahan herbal terfermentasi dengan bioaktifator lokal terhadap konsumsi dan kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik ternak babi peranakan landrace dan juga untuk mengetahui level terbaik dari pemberian bahan herbal terfermentasi. Ternak yang digunakan 12 ekor ternak babi peranakan landrace fase grower yang berumur 3-4 bulan dengan bobot badan awal berkisar 34-43 kg dengan rataan 37 kg (KV=4,12%). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan sehingga terdapat 12 unit percobaan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah H0: liquid feed tanpa herbal, H1: liquid feed + herbal fermentasi 10%, H2: liquid feed + herbal fermentasi 15% dan H3: liquid feed + herbal fermentasi 20%. Variabel yang diteliti adalah konsumsi dan kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0.01) terhadap konsumsi dan kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik. Disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan bahan herbal terfermentasi dalam ransum basal pada level 15% dan 20% meningkatkan konsumsi dan kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik ternak babi, pemberian 20% herbal terfermentasi memberikan kecernaan tertinggi terhadap bahan kering dan bahan organi ternak babi fase grower.
