Abstrak

Honey is a forest product that has long been known to the public and has many benefits, including as a health supplement, wond medicine, beaty agent, and as an ingredient in the food and beverage industry. However, farems eccounter problems in the process of pressing honey, because the still use traditional pressing methods. So this affects the length of pressing time and the comfort of honey famers. Seeing this, the author was motivated to make a tool that is useful in the process of pressing honey and and a fast production process. Next, a honey press machine design is needed which is a solution to speed up the work process of honey farmers in producing quality honey water. In this design process, a hybrid system is used where squeezing is done using an electric motor and a manual crank. The capatity of the beehive to be squeezed reaches 2 kg in 3 kg takes 1 minute. Honey production using a honey press machine provides significant advanteges in the prodction time and quality of honey water compared to honey water production using traditional methods. Using a honey press machine is a solution to existing problems.
