Literature Review: Is It True that Accreditation has An Impact on The Quality of Public Health Center Services?

Abstract

Puskesmas are required to carry out quality services that can be measured from the aspect of users through the use of patients and service providers. The implementation of Puskesmas accreditation is expected to be able to improve the quality of one of which is patient satisfaction, but there is a phenomenon of a decrease in the Community Satisfaction Index after Public Health Center accreditation. The purpose of this study is to illustrate the impact of accreditation on the quality of The Public Health Center. This research was a literature review. A total of 212 articles were found, but only 12 articles met the inclusion criteria. The results show that there are variations in the impact of accreditation on the quality of Public Health Center services. A total of 33.33% reported that accreditation had no impact on improving the quality of service A total of 33.33% reported that accreditation had no impact on improving the quality of service. The impact of accreditation on quality improvement can be influenced by the organization's ability and willingness to change as well as the consistency and sustainability of the implementation of accreditation guidelines post-accreditation assessment which is influenced by strong management and leadership support.
