Tradisi Lisan Takanab Sebagai Wujud Identitas Masyarakat Dawan Di Desa Oelnaineno Kecamatan Takari Kabupaten Kupang
Abstrak
The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of the Takanab Oral Tradition as the identity of the Dawan community in Oelnaineno Village, Takari District, Kupang Regency, to find out the meaning, value and function of the Takanab Oral Tradition as a form of identity for the Dawan community in Oelnaineno Village, Takari District, Kupang Regency. The technique for determining informants was carried out using snowball sampling. The data source used is primary secondary data. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation and document study. This research data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this research are (1) the process of implementing the takanab oral tradition in Oelnaineno Village. This is done by going through stage (a) the family preparation stage asking permission or inviting the assembly (religious leaders), faith (tokohadat) and the family concerned to carry out the Takana oral tradition. Then the family prepares the tools and materials needed in the process of implementing the takanab oral tradition such as: oko mama (place for siri, along with siri areca nut (puahnok manus), animals (muit), money (noni). (b) implementation stage after the materials are prepared, time When the implementation is determined, the Takana oral tradition will immediately be carried out in several ways, namely: a conversation between the traditional elders and the parents concerned, then opened with a prayer. (2) the meaningwith siri areca nut (puahnok manus), animals (muit), money (noni)., value and function contained in the Takanab oral tradition. (a) the meaning contained in the Takanab oral tradition, namely that it is interpreted in a ritual or customary activity for the Dawan community in relation to nature and the ancestors. (b) the value between others are the value of honesty, the value of deliberation, the value of togetherness and religious value (c) the function of the oral tradition is that they act as guardian angels, not angels of death for their children and grandchildren, but they protect children who have been given a name.
