Abstract

Abstract

               This research was motivated by the large number of tambaring plants in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province, but the use of tambaring was only used as a kitchen spice, so one of the institutions in the city of Kupang, namely the Alfa Omega Foundation, saw the need for innovation, so that since 2018 The Alfa Omega Foundation began producing innovations based on tambaring. The aim of this research is to analyze the elements of the Diffusion of Tambaring product innovation at the Alfa Omega Foundation. Qualitative research method with a case study approach. The research location is the Alfa Omega Kupang Foundation. The research subjects consisted of four informants. The results of the research show that there are four elements of the diffusion of tambaring product innovation at the Alfa Omega Foundation (YAO): 1) innovation, namely tambaring products which are processed into tambaring turmeric juice, tambaring juice, tambaring paste and tambaring jam. 2) There are 2 communication channels in the process of spreading tambaring innovation, namely interpersonal channels and mass media. Interpersonal channels are face to face while mass media are NTT newspapers, Facebook and Instagram. 3) The time period required by each adopter from the knowledge stage to deciding to adopt the innovation is approximately 1 year. 4) social system. Community figures, government figures and religious figures. and what is the agent of change in the process of spreading tambaring innovation is the Regional National Crafts Council (DEKRANASDA) and one of them is the Non-formal  Education (PNF) study program.
