Abstract

Abstract

Driving schools is one of the strategies formed by the government as a first step to implement an independent learning curriculum. The independent curriculum is a curriculum that provides freedom for students and teachers in the learning process. In the implementation of the independent curriculum, there are many obstacles faced by teachers, because it is a new curriculum, for that the central government collaborates with local governments to recruit facilitators as companions to education units that become driving schools in the process of implementing the independent curriculum. This study aims to find out about the role of mobilizing school facilitators to improve teacher understanding in the implementation of the independent learning curriculum in NTT province. This research was conducted using a descriptive approach. This type of research is qualitative research. The results of the appointment research show that facilitators in assisting PAUD driving schools perform four roles, namely; (1) encourage schools to collaborate with parents and the community; (2) encourage schools to form learning communities; (3) develop the competence of teachers and principals; (4) conduct reflection and evaluation.
