LAPORAN KASUS HAEMONCOSIS PADA SAPI BALI DI DESA BAUMATA, KECAMATAN TAEBENU, KABUPATEN KUPANG

Abstract

Haemonchosis merupakan penyakit cacing saluran pencernaan yang disebabkan oleh Haemonchus sp yang menyebabkan kerugian ekonomi yang sangat besar. Salah satu gejala klinis dari penyakit ini adalah bottle jow. Sapi bali jantan berumur 2 tahun dengan berat badan seberat 120 kg di Desa Baumata dengan pemeriksaan fisik menunjukkan gejala klinis yakni edema pada submandibularis (bottle jaw), nafsu makan menurun, bulu kusam dan rontok, suhu tubuh 39,2oC dan Body Condition Score (BCS 2). Pemeriksaan laboratorium yakni pemeriksaan feses (TTGT) dan pemeriksaan darah lengkap. Hasil pemeriksaan mikroskopis sampel feses ditemukan telur cacing Haemoncus sp dengan 4500 TTGT. Pemeriksaan darah rutin menunjukan GRA 1,8 x 103/uL, RBC 3,75 x 106/uL, Hb 4,9g/L, PCV 15,6 %, PDW 4,9Fl dan P-LCR 1,4% (lebih rendah dari normal). Tindakan terapi yakni pemberian antihelmentik (Oxfendazole 900 mg), Penstrep-400 sejumlah 9ml dan Injectamin sejumlah 2ml. Pasca terapi, edema pada submandibularis mengalami penurunan.
