Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model using the Deep Learning approach on students’ competency achievement in Solar Power Plant (PLTS) Planning material at SMK Negeri 2 Kupang.This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects were 60 students, consisting of 30 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class. The experimental class received learning using the TPS model with the Deep Learning approach, while the control class used conventional learning. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test. Data were analyzed using validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity tests, and an independent samples t-test. The results showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The experimental class obtained an average posttest score of 78.00, while the control class obtained 50.67.Thus, the TPS model with the Deep Learning approach significantly affects students’ competency achievement
