Jurnal SPEKTRO (Sajian Penelitian Pendidikan Teknik Elektro) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Electrical Engineering Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Nusa Cendana. The journal is published biannually in May and November.

Focus and Scope

Jurnal SPEKTRO aims to disseminate high-quality research findings, conceptual frameworks, and critical reviews in electrical engineering and engineering education. The scope includes:

  1. Electrical Engineering & Vocational Education: Curriculum development, digital learning media, virtual labs, and vocational assessment methodologies.
  2. Power Systems & Renewable Energy: Power generation, transmission, smart grid systems, and renewable energy conversion.
  3. Electronics, Control, & Robotics: Embedded systems design, industrial automation, robotics, and instrumentation.
  4. Telecommunications, IT, & IoT: Wireless networks, digital signal processing, and Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate Open Access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All published articles are available to read, download, and share without any charges to authors or readers (Diamond Open Access).

Jurnal SPEKTRO is officially published and supported by the Department of Electrical Engineering Education, FKIP, Universitas Nusa Cendana, Kupang, Indonesia. All operational costs, system maintenance, and DOI assignments are fully sponsored by the department and university.

Journal History

Jurnal SPEKTRO was initially established to accommodate research publications for academics and researchers in eastern Indonesia and beyond. Originally issued in print format (P-ISSN: 2655-5778), the journal has now fully migrated to the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to enhance international visibility and scholarly impact.

Archiving System

To ensure the long-term preservation of digital publications, Jurnal SPEKTRO utilizes the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS archival systems via the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), guaranteeing that published articles remain permanently accessible.
