PENGARUH TARIAN JA’I (TRADITIONAL DANCE) TERHADAP FUNGSI EKSEKUTIF PADA MAHASISWA FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS NUSA CENDANA
Abstract
Fungsi eksekutif diperlukan dalam menjalani proses Pendidikan Kedokteran. Aktivitas fisik terbukti dapat memperbaiki fungsi eksekutif, salah satunya adalah Dance Movement Therapy (DMT). DMT merupakan suatu psikoterapi yang dapat meningkatkan fungsi kognitif, kebugaran fisik dan fungsi sosial seorang individu. Salah satu jenis tarian tradisional yang sudah dikenal oleh masyarakat luas adalah Tarian Ja’i. Tarian ini melibatkan kelompok otot-otot besar di kepala/leher, tangan, dan kaki. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuktikan pengaruh latihan tarian Ja’i terhadap peningkatan fungsi eksekutif pada mahasiswa FK Undana. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian randomized pre and post test controlled group design. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan peningkatan yang signifikan skor uji TMT-B sebelum dan sesudah intervensi pada kelompok intervensi (p=0,001) dan kelompok kontrol (p=0,01). Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna selisih nilai trail making test part B sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan latihan DMT dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol (p=0,372). Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa DMT memiliki pengaruh dalam meningkatkan fungsi eksekutif mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Nusa Cendana Kupang.
