Abstract
ABSTRAK
Tujuan kajian yakni bagaimana efek pemberian ekstrak kulit batang faloakSterculia quadrifida) dalam air minum terhadap performa ayam pedaging. Faktor-faktor yang berkaitan konsumsi pakan, FCR, PBB dan konsumsi air minum. Kajian memakai 100 ekor anak ayam pedaging umur satu hari strain CP 707 dari PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia. Kajian ini memakai rancangan acak lengkap, dengan empat perlakuan dan lima kali ulangan. Tiap ulangan terdiri dari lima ekor ayam. Tiap perlakuan mempunyai dosis ekstrak faloak tertentu: PO = tanpa ekstrak faloak, P1 = 2,5 ml ekstrak faloak per liter air minum, P2 = 3 ml ekstrak faloak per liter air minum dan P3 = 3,5 ml ekstrak faloak per liter air minum. Hasil kajian terlihat pemberian ekstrak kulit batang faloak (Sterculia quadrifida R.Br.) dengan dosis 3,5 ml/L air minum tidak efek nyata (P>0,05) padakonsumsi pakan, PBB dan FCR ransum. Sebaliknya memberikan efek yata (P<0,05) pada konsumsi air minum ayam pedaging. Berdasarkan hasil kajian disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak kulit batang faloak dalam air minum pada taraf aplikasi sampai dengan 3,5 mililiter per liter memberikan efek pada jumlah air minum yang dikonsumsi, tetapi tidak memberikan efek pada konsumsi pakan, PBB dan konsumsi ransum.

The study used 100 one-day-old broiler chicks strain CP 707 from PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia. This study used a completely randomized design, with four treatments and five replications. Each replication consisted of five chickens. Each treatment had a certain dose of faloak extract: PO = without faloak extract, P1 = 2.5 ml of faloak extract per liter of drinking water, P2 = 3 ml of faloak extract per liter of drinking water and P3 = 3.5 ml of faloak extract per liter of drinking water. The results of the study showed that the administration of faloak bark extract (Sterculia quadrifida R.Br.) at a dose of 3.5 ml/L of drinking water had no significant effect (P>0.05) on feed consumption, PBB and FCR rations. On the contrary, it gave a significant effect (P<0.05) on broiler drinking water consumption. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that administering faloak bark extract in drinking water at an application level of up to 3.5 milliliters per liter had an effect on the amount of drinking water consumed, but did not have an effect on feed consumption, PBB and ration consumption.
