Peer Review Process

Jurnal Politik Transformasi (JPT) strictly follows an anonymous double-blind review policy. At least two expert reviewers will thoroughly evaluate each submitted manuscript.

These reviewers were selected based on expertise, academic credentials, and previous experience in academic and practice areas. Criteria for assessing submitted work include originality, methodological appropriateness, clarity of presentation, and contribution to advancing knowledge in social and political science.

Reviewers are asked to provide constructive feedback along with recommendations for improvement. The peer review process is completed within 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the needs and a thorough evaluation of publication timeliness. Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik maintains transparency in its review process, ensuring anonymity for reviewers and authors.

Submission and Plagiarism Check

  • Authors submit articles that align with the focus, scope, and journal template.
  • The author ensures that the article is plagiarism-free by using software with a maximum limit of 20%.

Technical Review by Editor

  • The editor assesses the article's technical suitability against the journal's focus, scope, and template.
  • If inappropriate, the article is returned to the author for correction or rejection.
  • If appropriate, the editor continues the process to the next stage.

Blind Review by Reviewers

  • The editor forwards the article to two reviewers using a double-blind review system.
  • Reviewers do not have direct contact with the author.
  • Reviewers assess the article's quality, methodology, and relevance.
  • Review results are sent by reviewers to the Open Journal Systems (OJS) system without revealing their identity.

Delivery of Review Results to the Author

  • The editor sends the review results to the author.
  • Review results include reviewers' comments, suggestions, and evaluations.
  • Authors are given time to make revisions based on reviewers' feedback.

Revision and Resubmission by Author

  • The author revised the article based on the review results.
  • The revised article is uploaded to the journal's OJS system.
  • This process can be repeated until the article is declared accepted or rejected.

Decision and Publication

  • The editor evaluates the author's revisions.
  • The article is accepted for publication if it meets the journal's standards.
  • If an article does not meet standards, it may be rejected or given additional revision opportunities.

Final Publication

  • Accepted articles are published in the Jurnal Politik Transformasi (JPT)
  • Information about articles, including the author's identity, may be disclosed after the article is accepted and published.
