UPAYA MENCEGAH PERILAKU SEKS BEBAS PADA REMAJA (Studi Kasus Pada SMA Negeri 1 Maumere)

Abstract

This research discusses efforts to prevent promiscuous sexual behavior among teenagers at SMA Negeri 1 Maumere. The rise of free sexual behavior among teenagers in Indonesia has attracted attention from the government and educational institutions to the importance of sex education in schools. Sex education can be a solution in dealing with the problems of today's teenagers, starting from the phenomenon that occurs in teenagers at SMA Negeri 1 Maumere where it seems that many teenagers still engage in deviant behavior. This is the reason for the author to research the issue of free sexual behavior. The formulation of the problem in this research is how teachers try to prevent free sexual behavior among teenagers at SMA Negeri 1 Maumere. This research aims to analyze the efforts made by teachers to prevent free sexual behavior among teenagers at SMA Negeri 1 Maumere. The theory used in this research is functional structural. In this research, researchers used a descriptive approach with qualitative research methods to study as deeply as possible the efforts of teachers to prevent promiscuous sexual behavior among teenagers at SMA Negeri 1 Maumere. The technique for determining informants in this research is the purposive sampling method, where the informants consist of school principals, teachers and students who engage in deviant behavior. The data sources in this research are primary data and secondary data, data obtained by researchers from interviews, observations and documentation. The analysis techniques used in this research are: data reduction, data presentation, and verification or drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that SMA Negeri 1 Maumere has made efforts to reduce promiscuous sexual behavior among teenagers. The principal's involvement in preventing promiscuous sexual behavior among teenagers at SMA Negeri 1 Maumere is by holding outreach about the dangers of promiscuity, providing guidance based on the flow of case handling, an annual spiritual program, imposing sanctions and summoning parents. So it is necessary to provide sex education as stated in the curriculum as an effort to prevent free sexual behavior in teenagers to reduce other deviant behavior and it is hoped that parents will play a role in the process of preventing free sexual behavior by monitoring their children's interactions and providing attention and affection to them.
