Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of class 8 at SMP Negeri 10 Kupang on opportunity material. The aim of this research is to describe the application of the Cooperative Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model assisted by Microsoft Powerpoint Interactive media to improve the learning outcomes of grade 8 students at SMP Negeri 10 Kupang on opportunity material. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK), with qualitative and quantitative data types. Implementation of this Classroom Action Research has 4 stages, namely 1) Planning; 2) Implementation of action (action); 3) Observation; 4) Reflection. This research was carried out in class 8 at SMP Negeri 10 Kupang, totaling 24 students. Data collection techniques in this research were through observation and tests with the instruments used, namely teacher and student observation sheets as well as test questions on student learning outcomes. Data analysis in research is analysis of data from teacher observations, analysis of data from student observations and analysis of student learning achievement tests. The research results showed that the percentage of completeness of students' classical learning outcomes at the end of cycle I reached 66.67%, increasing to 83.33% at the end of cycle II. The implementation of teacher teaching activity score data at the end of cycle I reached 95%, increasing to 100% at the end of cycle II and was in the very good category. In addition, the implementation of student learning activity score data at the end of cycle I reached 88% and also increased to 100% at the end of cycle II and was in the very good category.
