Kajian Tektonika Arsitektur Rumah Tradisional Sabu di Kampung Adat Namata

Abstract

The precept of traditional architecture can be displayed as the identity or local characteristics of the region. The formation in the indigenous and tribal peoples of each region, can be explaining through the art and details of the construction ornaments, specifically the form of materials and joints in the using of construction materials also knowing as the art of construction or the tectonic of traditional house. In the making of joints, neither the values and rules nor instructions can not and should not be separated from traditional rituals through generations, would influence the requirements of the material for its construction, for example beam or round wood (logs) as the elements in construction of pillars, beams and trusses, meaning the traditional ritual had been passed by in order to obtain the quality of joints and it believing the occupier lasted long. The purpose of this research was to acquire the information about how traditional communities in the Namata Sabu village carried the construction process out by profiting local materials in local traditional religion in order to obtain results that believing it lasted long neither has strength according to the function nor can be reflect the position nor tribal status of construction in indigenous of traditional communities, but also observe the art of value-based construction. This research used descriptive qualitative as method by studying, observing and directly observing the material elements and joints system in the traditional building house of the traditional village Namata Sabu.
