Abstract
In the Regional Regulation (Perda) of Lembata Regency Number 1 of 2020, it is stated that the establishment of the Public Works and Spatial Planning office type B, which organizes mandatory government affairs in the field of public works and spatial planning of Lembata district. Until now, Lembata Regency does not have an official agency building, so the Regional Government facilitates the former Lembata Regency DPRD office building as a temporary office building for the PUPR office to carry out the tasks and functions of the Lembata Regency PUPR which is so complex. Therefore, this design aims to design a PUPR office building in Lembata Regency with facilities that meet the needs and are able to create a built environment that is connected to local cultural elements. The design of the Lembata Regency PUPR office with a Neo-Vernacular Architecture approach is designed by expressing the spirit of local culture into forms, values, and art. Inspired by the cultural architecture of Lamaholot; Korke Bale(Worship Place) which has a characteristic 'open' with the form of a multi-storey limas roof, carvings/reliefs on columns, floors made of chopped feathers/bamboo (kneka) combined with newer materials and styles. The purpose of this design is to be able to produce a building that is able to accommodate all functions of the Lembata Regency PUPR Office, by combining elements of Lamaholot culture that are able to fuse character values and connectedness in the community.
