Implementasi Desain Berkelanjutan untuk Pengembangan Masterplan Pariwisata di Desa Karang Tengah
Main Article Content
Abstract
Karang Tengah Village, Tuntang District, Semarang Regency, boasts a wealth of natural resources, culture, and traditions with the potential to be developed as a leading tourist destination. However, this potential has not been optimally managed due to the lack of an integrated tourism master plan, limited infrastructure, and poor implementation of sustainable design principles. Without proper planning, tourism growth risks environmental degradation, erosion of cultural values, and socio-economic inequality. Therefore, the development of a sustainable tourism master plan is a strategic urgency to ensure harmonious tourism development across economic, social, and ecological dimensions. This activity aims, among other things, to develop a sustainable design-based tourism master plan for Karang Tengah Village. It also serves as an effort to increase community capacity in sustainable tourism planning. The approach used is community-based planning with active community participation, potential surveys, environmental carrying capacity analysis, and spatial planning based on environmentally friendly technology. Collaboration is carried out between the community service team, international partners, and local stakeholders to ensure a contextual and adaptive design. The main outputs include a sustainable tourism master plan document for Karang Tengah Village, which includes: recommendations for environmentally friendly tourism facility designs; community capacity building through training and mentoring.
