Perancangan Terminal Penumpang Angkutan Penyeberangan Aimere dengan Pendekatan Green Architecture
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to design the Aimere Ferry Passenger Terminal as a modern, sustainable, and comfortable facility through the application of green architecture principles. The design approach focuses on energy efficiency by maximizing natural lighting, cross- ventilation, and passive cooling systems to reduce reliance on mechanical energy. The use of local and environmentally friendly materials, along with rainwater harvesting systems, further enhances the ecological performance of the building. The research method includes field surveys, comparative studies, interviews, and analysis of technical data and relevant literature. The design results show that the terminal meets functional user needs through efficient spatial circulation, accessibility for persons with disabilities, and optimal thermal comfort. In addition, the implementation of green architecture principles contributes to reducing energy consumption, improving site environmental quality, and strengthening sustainability in maritime transportation facilities in East Nusa Tenggara. In conclusion, this design approach is effective in producing a functional, inclusive, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly terminal.
