Perancangan Kawasan Ziarah di Bukit Doa Watomiten Kabupaten Lembata

Abstract
Lembata Regency has a majority of the Catholic population with several traditions. One of the traditions is the pilgrimage tradition. The pilgrimage activities in Lembata are usually carried out at pilgrimage facilities, including Maria’s Caves, Uran Park of Prayer, and Watomiten Hill of Prayer. Among the mentioned place, Watomiten Hill of Prayer is the most complex for facilities and not sufficient to accommodate pilgrimage activities. Therefore, Watomiten Hill of Prayer needs a design to present the facilities for pilgrimage activities. The existing of the designed area is a cross-road lane that is made wider of pedestrians as a connection for each stop. The form of landscape facilities is circulation consisting of human and vehicle circulation as well as open space consisting of a garden and shade as an outdoor activity area. Also, the facilities of the building are applied to depict the symbol of Catholic spirituality in the formations of the buildings. The presenting of building facilities are a chapel that uses a tower-shaped roof, pointed architecture, rose windows and large windows.
