Mortalitas larva dan derajat pencapaian juvenil kerang darah (Anadara granosa) pada salinitas berbeda

Abstrak

Blood cockle production still relies on nature to meet high market demand as high
consumption leads to increased exploitation of blood cockle. Cultivation is an expense for the
development of blood cockle, but environmental changes are often a hindrance, such as changes
in salinity. In October 2020, blood cockle larvae rearing studies were conducted with the aim of
knowing the effects of increasing and decreasing salinity on larval mortality and yield of juvenile
blood cockle. The method used is an experimental method and data analysis using a paired t-test
to determine if there is a difference in the effect of increasing and decreasing habitat salinity on
blood cockle larvae cultivation. The results showed that larval mortality increased as salinity was
increased or decreased, with the highest larval mortality occurring when salinity was decreased,
reaching 47.05%, while as salinity increased, larval mortality was lower at 41.22%. The juvenile
performance level showed a decrease when salinity was increased or decreased, with a higher
juvenile performance level when salinity was increased, reaching 48.18% while reaching only
39.8% when decreasing. The results of statistical analysis with paired t-test (α 0.05) gave the t-
value of 0.67 < 0.05 for larval mortality and 1.40 < 0.05 for the degree of juvenile performance.
This shows that increasing and decreasing salinity has a significant difference in larval mortality
and performance of juvenile blood mussels.
