Penambahan ekstrak buah pepaya pada pakan buatan terhadap peningkatan kecerahan warna ikan badut (Amphiprion ocellaris)

Abstrak

The study aims to determine whether papaya fruit extract in artificial feed can improve the color of clown fish (A. ocellaris) and to determine the optimal dose of papaya fruit extract to increase the brightness of color in clown fish (A. ocellaris).
Data collection from May to July at UPT Oesapa, Kelapa Lima sub-district. The design used in the research is a complete randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Consists of control treatment (without papaya fruit extract), treatment A (papaya fruit extract 5 mg), treatment B (papaya fruit extract 10 mg), and treatment C (papaya fruit extract 15 mg). The results showed that the addition of papaya fruit extract with different doses in the feed can increase the brightness of the clownfish color. The highest increase was obtained in treatment C, namely the addition of 15 mg/g papaya fruit extract in commercial feed with a color brightness value of 4.1. While the absolute weight and survival of clownfish did not differ between each treatment.
