Reviewer Discount Guide
Reviewer Recognition & APC Discount Policy (24-Month Rolling Window)
The Jurnal Media Elektro (JME) deeply appreciates the dedication of our peer reviewers in maintaining the highest technical and academic standards. To recognize this essential contribution, we implement a "24-Month Rolling Window" system for APC discount credits.
1. How the Rolling Window Works
The validity of each completed review assignment is calculated independently for a period of 24 months (2 years) from the date of completion (Date Completed). Your discount balance will increase with each high-quality review, but will decrease under the following conditions:
- The review credit is applied to a manuscript submission for a discount.
- The review credit exceeds the 24-month validity period (expiration).
2. Case Simulation: Reviewer A
The following table illustrates the credit accumulation for Reviewer A:

Note: Reviewer discounts apply only to the Standard APC. If a reviewer chooses the Fast-Track option, the Fast-Track service fee (IDR 250,000) still applies.
Scenario A: Reviewer A Submits a Manuscript in February 2026
On February 5, 2026, a new manuscript by Reviewer A is officially Accepted for publication. The discount calculation is as follows:

- Review Article #1 (Jan 10, 2024): Exceeds the 24-month limit (Expired).
- Review Article #2 & #3 (May 15, 2024 & August 20, 2025): Within the 24-month window (Valid).
- Total Balance: 2 valid review credits (Eligible for a 40% Discount).
- Final APC: Reviewer A pays IDR 300,000 (Saving IDR 200,000).
- Note: Upon application, these 2 credits are considered "used" and the balance resets to zero.
Scenario B: Achieving a Full Waiver (100% Discount)
To qualify for a full APC waiver, Reviewer A must ensure that 5 high-quality reviews are completed within a concentrated period, ensuring none of the credits have expired by the date their own manuscript is accepted.

3. Terms and Conditions
- Quality Standard: Credits are only awarded for reviews that provide constructive, in-depth feedback and are submitted within the editor's deadline.
- Author Eligibility: The discount is only applicable if the Reviewer serves as the Primary Author or Corresponding Author of the submitted manuscript.
- Claiming the Discount: Once your manuscript is "Accepted," please contact the editorial office at jme@undana.ac.id with the subject: "Reviewer Discount Claim - [Your Manuscript Title]". Our administration team will verify your balance via the OJS history.
