Abstract
This paper tries to discuss about ecolexicon of foi doa : traditional musical instruments of bamboo in Ngada etnic of Flores.
In this research, the writer used descriptive qualitative method. Observation and interview became the primary data sources of the
research, meanwhile the secondary data sources of this research were books and documents whose content related to the problems
of research. The instruments or tools used to gain the data were observation and interview. After getting the data, they were
analyzed in descriptive based on the theories of ecolinguistic and semantic. The result showed that: (1) the form of ecolexicon of
foi doa in Ngada etnic of Flores covered 3 main parts, namely: grammatical form, words class, and ecology element; (2) the
meaning of foi doa in Ngada etnic of Flores indicated the expression of the balancing, which is formed in building relationships
between humans and nature, humans with others and humans with God.
