Prior to the peer-review process, all submitted manuscripts to Jurnal Communio are screened for plagiarism and inappropriate textual similarity using Turnitin. The similarity report is evaluated by the editorial team to identify potential plagiarism, duplicate publication, or substantial overlap with previously published works.

As a general guideline, manuscripts with a similarity score of 20% or below may proceed to the peer-review process, subject to editorial assessment. A similarity score above this threshold does not automatically constitute plagiarism; the editorial team will examine the similarity report, including the sources and nature of the matched text, before determining whether further clarification or revision is required.

Manuscripts containing substantial unattributed overlap, plagiarism, or other forms of inappropriate duplication may be rejected or returned to the authors for clarification and revision in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy.
