Screening for Plagiarism

Screening for Plagiarism
Early Childhood Education Development and Studies (ECEDS) is committed to maintaining the originality and scientific integrity of every article it publishes. All submitted manuscripts must undergo a plagiarism screening process before they can proceed to the peer review stage.

Tool Used
Plagiarism screening is conducted by the Editorial Team using Turnitin, an internationally recognized text-similarity detection tool widely used by reputable scholarly journals.

Similarity arising from properly formatted direct quotations, reference lists, and standard methodological descriptions will be assessed contextually by the editor.

Screening Stages
Screening is conducted at two stages: (1) when the manuscript is first received by the editor — prior to being sent to reviewers, and (2) after the revision process is complete, before the manuscript is formally accepted for publication.

Handling Violations
Any manuscript found to contain plagiarism will be immediately rejected and the author will be formally notified.
If plagiarism is detected after an article has been published, the article will be retracted in accordance with the procedures of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and a retraction notice will be published on the journal's website.

Author's Commitment
By submitting a manuscript to ECEDS, authors declare that the work submitted is original, has not been previously published elsewhere, and is not currently under review by any other journal or publication. Any use of the work or words of others must be accompanied by proper and accurate citation.
