Aims and Scope

Focus of the Journal

Early Childhood Education Development and Studies (ECEDS) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal focused on empirical research, systematic literature reviews, and conceptual analyses in the field of early childhood education and child development. The journal gives particular attention to the contexts of Eastern Indonesia, remote and underserved communities, and 3T regions (frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped areas), as well as dryland settings that present unique challenges and opportunities in the provision of early childhood education.

Scope

ECEDS welcomes articles related to, but not limited to, the following thematic areas:

- Moral and Religious Values Development — character formation, spiritual values, and moral development in early childhood
- Physical and Motor Development — gross and fine motor development, physical health, and movement activities in young children
- Social and Emotional Development — social competence, emotion regulation, attachment, and children's interaction with their environment
- Cognitive Development — thinking skills, problem-solving, early literacy, and numeracy in early childhood
- Language Development — first and second language acquisition, literacy, communication, and regional/local language use
- Arts and Creativity Development — artistic expression, music, drama, and creativity in early childhood education
- Parenting and Family Engagement — parenting styles, parental roles, family-school partnerships, and family-based stimulation
- Child Development Psychology — developmental theories, childhood trauma, mental health, and psychosocial support for young children
- Early Childhood Curriculum — design, implementation, and evaluation of national and locally-based PAUD curricula
- Learning Strategies, Models, and Approaches — play-based learning, scientific approaches, and pedagogical innovations in early childhood settings
- Educational Games and Learning Media — development, use, and effectiveness of educational toys and digital or non-digital learning media
- Assessment of Early Childhood Development — authentic assessment, portfolio assessment, developmental screening, and program evaluation
- Management and Leadership of Early Childhood Institutions — governance, institutional leadership, quality assurance, and accreditation
- Innovation in Early Childhood Education — educational technology, digital literacy, and new approaches to early childhood learning
- Early Childhood Education in 3T Regions and Dryland Areas — management, challenges, and good practices in remote, frontier, and dryland PAUD settings
- Early Childhood Education Policy and Regulation — national and regional policy, advocacy, child rights, and child protection in educational contexts
- Professional Development of Early Childhood Educators — teacher competence, training, professional identity, and educator wellbeing

Submitted articles must make a meaningful contribution to the development of knowledge and practice in the field of early childhood education and must be relevant to the journal's focus as outlined above.

Fokus Jurnal

Early Childhood Education Development and Studies (ECEDS) adalah jurnal ilmiah peer-reviewed yang berfokus pada penelitian empiris, tinjauan literatur sistematis, dan analisis konseptual di bidang pendidikan dan perkembangan anak usia dini. Jurnal ini memberikan perhatian khusus pada konteks Indonesia Timur, daerah 3T (Terdepan, Terluar, dan Tertinggal), serta wilayah lahan kering yang memiliki tantangan dan keunikan tersendiri dalam penyelenggaraan PAUD.

Ruang Lingkup

ECEDS menerima artikel yang berkaitan dengan, namun tidak terbatas pada, tema-tema berikut:

- Perkembangan Nilai Agama dan Moral — pembentukan karakter, nilai-nilai spiritual, dan moral pada anak usia dini
- Perkembangan Fisik dan Motorik — perkembangan motorik kasar dan halus, kesehatan fisik, serta aktivitas gerak anak
- Perkembangan Sosial dan Emosional — kompetensi sosial, regulasi emosi, kelekatan, dan interaksi anak dengan lingkungan
- Perkembangan Kognitif — kemampuan berpikir, pemecahan masalah, literasi awal, dan numerasi anak usia dini
- Perkembangan Bahasa — pemerolehan bahasa pertama dan kedua, literasi, komunikasi, dan bahasa daerah
- Perkembangan Seni dan Kreativitas — ekspresi seni, musik, drama, dan kreativitas dalam pendidikan anak usia dini
- Pola Pengasuhan dan Keterlibatan Keluarga — pola asuh, peran orang tua, kemitraan keluarga-sekolah, dan stimulasi berbasis keluarga
- Psikologi Perkembangan Anak — teori perkembangan, trauma pada anak, kesehatan mental, dan dukungan psikososial
- Kurikulum Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini — desain, implementasi, dan evaluasi kurikulum PAUD nasional maupun berbasis kearifan lokal
- Strategi, Model, dan Pendekatan Pembelajaran — pembelajaran berbasis bermain, pendekatan saintifik, dan inovasi pedagogis di PAUD
- Alat Permainan Edukatif dan Media Pembelajaran — pengembangan, penggunaan, dan efektivitas APE serta media digital dan non-digital
- Penilaian Perkembangan Anak Usia Dini — asesmen autentik, portofolio, skrining perkembangan, dan evaluasi program PAUD
- Manajemen dan Kepemimpinan Lembaga PAUD — tata kelola, kepemimpinan kepala lembaga, penjaminan mutu, dan akreditasi lembaga
- Inovasi dalam Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini — teknologi pendidikan, literasi digital, dan pendekatan baru dalam pembelajaran PAUD
- PAUD di Daerah 3T dan Lahan Kering — pengelolaan, tantangan, dan praktik baik PAUD di daerah terpencil, perbatasan, dan lahan kering
- Kebijakan dan Regulasi PAUD — kebijakan nasional dan daerah, advokasi, hak anak, dan perlindungan anak dalam konteks pendidikan
- Pengembangan Profesional Pendidik PAUD — kompetensi guru, pelatihan, identitas profesional, dan kesejahteraan pendidik

Artikel yang dikirimkan harus memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan praktik di bidang pendidikan anak usia dini, serta relevan dengan fokus jurnal sebagaimana tercantum di atas.
