Pembelajaran Sosiologi Berbasis Design Thinking untuk Merespons Isu Sosial Kontemporer: Studi Kasus Praktik Guru SMA dalam Perspektif Filsafat Pedagogi Kritis

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji implementasi pembelajaran sosiologi berbasis design thinking dalam merespons isu sosial kontemporer di SMA, serta menganalisisnya melalui perspektif filsafat pendidikan kritis. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, penelitian ini melibatkan tiga guru sosiologi dan lima siswa dari tiga jenjang kelas (X, XI, dan XII) di SMAN 1 Cipeundeuy. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa design thinking memfasilitasi proses belajar yang empatik, kritis, dan kontekstual yang mana siswa tidak hanya mempelajari teori sosiologi, tetapi juga terlibat aktif dalam mengidentifikasi, menganalisis, dan merespons masalah sosial nyata seperti perundungan, ketimpangan pendidikan, konflik antarkelompok, dan tekanan sosial menjelang kelulusan. Dari perspektif pedagogi kritis, pendekatan ini mendorong transformasi relasi guru-siswa menjadi lebih dialogis, memupuk kesadaran kritis terhadap ketidakadilan struktural, dan menempatkan siswa sebagai subjek perubahan sosial. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan waktu, kesenjangan kemampuan analisis siswa, dan budaya sekolah yang masih berorientasi pada hasil ujian. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan model pembelajaran sosiologi berbasis isu sosial lokal yang terintegrasi dengan Kurikulum Merdeka.
