Inovasi Metode Pembelajaran Inquiry untuk Penguatan Nilai-Nilai Karakter Kewarganegaraan pada Siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama
Abstract
Character education is the main foundationin shaping citizens with personality, integrity, andhigh moral awareness. However, in school learning practices, the instilling ofcitizenship character values is often still theoretical anddoes not directly touch on the aspects of student learning experiences. This studyaims to analyse the innovation of the inquiry learning method as aneffective strategy in strengthening civic character values injunior high school students. This study uses adescriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through library research. The results show that the application of inquiry-based learningcan foster character values such as responsibility, honesty, curiosity, cooperation, and social awareness through active investigationof social issues relevant to real life.This learning innovation also strengthens critical and reflective thinking skillsand increases student active participation in the Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) learning process.Therefore, the inquiry methodhas proven to be relevant as a pedagogical approach that encourages the transformation ofcivic character values in a contextual and meaningful manner
