Biosintesis Nanopartikel Perak (NPP) Menggunakan Ekstrak Buah Kersen (Muntingia Calabura L.) Asal Pulau Timor dan Aplikasinya pada Sensor Kertas Berbasis Smart Phone untuk Analisis Ion Merkuri
Abstract
Telah dilakukan penelitian biosintesis nanopartikel perak (NPP) menggunakan ekstrak
buah kersen (Muntingia calabura L.) asal pulau Timor dan diaplikasikan pada sensor kertas
berbasis smartphone untuk analisis logam merkuri. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk
mensintesis NPP menggunakan ekstrak buah kersen dari pulau Timor dan NPP tersebut
dipergunakan menganalis logam merkuri dengan metode sensor kertas berbasis smartphone.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan biositesis NPP dari ekstrak buah kersen asal pulau Timor berhasil
disintesis. Hal ini ditunjukan oleh perubahan warna dari bening menjadi jingga kecoklatan dan
panjang gelombang 430-450 nm pengukuran pada spektrofotmeter UV-VIS. NPP yang disintesis
menggunakan ekstrak rebusan pada suhu ruang lebih mampu bertahan daripada NPP yang
disintesis dengan disinari matahari. Sementara NPP dari ekstrak jus daging buah kersen pada
suhu ruang menghasilkan NPP yang cukup stabil. Sedangkan NPP dari ekstrak jus daging buah
kersen dengan penyinaran matahari, sintesis berlangsung spontan (NPP sangat tidak stabil).
Aplikasi NPP pada sensor kertas berbasis smartphone untuk analisis merkuri memberikan respon
positif. Hal tersebut ditunjukan oleh perubahan intensitas warna merah pada kertas sensor yang
dideteksi oleh kamera smartphone. Intensitas warna merah tersebut semakin menurun seiring
dengan meningkatnya konsentrasi Hg2+ yakni dalam rentang 5 hingga 60 ppm.
